Gold's Betrayal

Welcome to the Meg Jewelry blog on this beautiful Tuesday evening! Tonight is a blog post that has been prepared from some of my daily thoughts. As I was working with Kleinfeld Bridal this afternoon, I had many brides that were looking for that perfect wedding-day jewelry piece. Of course these pieces vary between each bride, but there seems to be a constant battle between colors, accents and metals. If you are like one of us, you have probably been watching the stock market with a not so keen eye. Gold prices have recently sky-rocketed, with a high of just over 1,800 dollars an ounce. This price is absolutely astonishing if you have followed the market over the last few years. Given the volatility in the market, many brides have found themselves struggling with finding a gold piece without actually utilizing the price of gold. This struggle brought me great inspiration, which is what I would love to write about this evening.
Meg Jewelry has and continues to use gold in our jewelry lines, but the appeal has fallen over the previous years as silver has nearly taken over the jewelry market. If you are in love with gold, but would love an affordable piece of jewelry, try using some of our tips to get the same appeal.
              1. Despite the cost of gold, you can still purchase very affordable gold jewelry by selecting pieces that minimize how much gold is being used. Meg Jewelry has some outstanding pieces that utilize this very affordable tip, but we have also taken the honor of creating pieces that use gold sprayed filigrees. Below is Meg Jewelry's Britt Earrings that will give you the beautiful appeal of gold without the price.

           2. Our next tip is simple and very effective. Gold is a precious metal, but the appeal is simply within the color. For some of us, the outstanding price is also part of the appeal but the majority of it is directly within the sensational color that sparkles so vividly. If you would like to take advantage of this tip, try out our beautiful Saba Earrings that you will instantly fall in love with! (Pictured Below: Meg Jewelry Saba Earrings)

           3. Our next tip is also very simple. Instead of spending a fortune on gold, try purchasing some major bling that will result in the same "wow factor." We have several pieces from simple to extravagant that will give you gold appeal at a fraction of the cost.

Love the idea of using gold colored stones to get that gold feel...especially when mixed with silver colors...then it becomes super versatile! Great post.
