Personally I love it the way it is stunning and classic - to give it a modern twist you could exchange the pearls with crystals for the BIG BLING factor.

I love it the way it is, but I am a pearl girl! Mirabella which means incredible beauty.
I love it as is! You know me, go big or go home. LOL. As far as the name, I like Athena. Since you said you like it with the Panthea earrings, that reminds me of the Parthenon - which is in Athens, the city of Athena.
I think you should make it BOTH ways. I can see it being stunning as is with a lace dress, or gorgeous with big crystals for a more contemporary gown. ~Kirsten
