My favorite Valentine's Memory is when I was in 4th grade and I had the biggest crush ever on a boy named Perry Towns. I went through every Valentine in my box trying to find just the perfect one for him. I gave him the best one an spent a whole weekend decorating my heart, construction paper, doily valentine box, to hold all my favorite valentines and especially one for Perry. Well, Perry gave me a valentine and I rushed home to look at it and it was one from the pack that said "Teacher, you are the apple of my eye." I was so disappointed because I knew he gave me the leftover valentine. The next day, another boy in class Howie Huey (no lie, that was his name), asked me shyly if I liked his valentine. I told him of course I liked it, but really I couldn't remember it. When I got home I found it and looked at it carefully. It said "To: Mickie, From: Howie I love you and you are the nicest, prettiest girl in the 4th grade" and he drew a picture of a cupid with an arrow. I still have it and I always will. I was so busy looking and wishing for Perry, that I did not even notice Howie. I learned a lesson to love the ones who are nice to me and love me!
These earrings are so cute. I don't have any really special valentine's day memories. I usually find myself single on valentines day. I guess my favorite valentines day would be last year because I had an awesome valentine.
I saw these earrings sparkling from across the room at Silk and loved them!
My Valentine memory wasn't funny at the time, but now looking back I can laugh at it. In 7th grade there was a boy that had a crush on me and I did not like him back. our school was selling suckers for Valentines day so my girlfriends thought it would be funny to see my reaction when I received a sucker from this boy. So to my horror I received a sucker from him in front of my entire class and I was humiliated. At lunch I walked up to him and gave him the sucker and yelled at him to never embarrass me like that again. He looked at me completely puzzled and yelled back at me that he had no idea what I was talking about. My friends confessed it was them that sent me the sucker. Bad friends! They ended up embarrassing me and the poor boy that didn't do anything. A prank gone wrong. The girls and I are still bffs to this day 17 years later. I had forgotten about it until I was trying to think of something to write for this comment. Maybe it's time for a prank of my own! Just kidding.
These earrings are so adorable and fun!
My Valentine's Day story is not necessarily fun, but it is a good memory.
When I was in middle school a friend died of lukemia on Valentine's Day. It was a very sad loss for his family and all of his friends, myself included. A few years after his death a good friend and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day in a unique way to cherish his memory. We drove to his grave and made snow angels all around it and left flowers. We took pictures of our snow angels and flowers and sent them in a card to his family.
These earrings are so cute! My favorite Valentine's Day memory was when my boyfriend made me coupons I could redeem for a movie night, home cooked meal, back massage, etc. because he couldn't afford to buy me a big gift (we were sophomores in high school). We are still together fifteen years later and engaged to be married! After all these years this is still my favorite Valentine's Day memory because of the thought he put into it!
My favorite Valentine's memory was my 20th birthday. My boyfriend, now future husband, had planned this very secret date. Now Valentine's day is also my birthday so he had really extra special things planned. He told me to dress up all nice and pretty and he would pick me up at 6. So I got all pretty and at 6 there he was with 20 red roses. They were gorgeous! Then we started driving and I still had no idea where we were going. We were just driving and driving. Finally we pull up to this quaint little italian place that I had never been to. It seemed to be straight from Sex and the City. We had an amazing dinner and then came dessert. I had told him when we were first met (I was 18) that I had never had an ice cream cake and really wanted one. So that was my dessert! He had brought in an ice cream cake and candles that were supposed to light colors. Funny thing is the restaurant put the candles in upside down and the flames were basically nonexistent. He was so upset but I just laughed and smiled. Nobody had ever gone to that much trouble for me. It was the best birthday/Valentine's day ever! And now I get to spend the rest of my life with him come June!
My favorite Valentine's Day was yesterday. My fiance' and I wrote each other little love letters on notebook paper. It was innocent but sweet at the same time. Then I laid my head on his stomach and we listened to love songs playing on the radio. Occasionally we would sing along together (off key of course :0). He stroked my hair sweeping the bangs out of my face, I felt amazingly special. The kind of emotion that lasts far beyond the box of chocolates and Hallmark love cards. This is true love and I'm grateful.
my only post about v day is that my hubby and I have a tradiotion of eating pizza and wings intime@myself.com
